Remember to be patient and understanding with your flock babies during molting season. Many of us are experiencing heavy molts with our birds now. During these times they often sleep more. Be aware, also, that petting them with these pin feathers is often uncomfortable for them. They may react “negatively”. Do NOT take this personally. Take it as a reminder to be more gentle with them. Frequent showers will help and is needed. Be sure your nutrition is on point. Flax or Featheriffic supplements will help as well.
